North meets South Concert |

The Philomela choir, one of the most highly regarded choral groups in Finland, will be teaming up with the Nairobi Chamber Chorus - a group of 25 refined singers based in Nairobi - for a concert on 21st April, 2011 at the Kenya National Museum, Nairobi.
The program features songs of Finnish heritage,Spirituals, and Kenyan songs. The two choirs will perform together and will be conducted by Marjukka Riihimäki (Philomela) and Ken Wakia (Nairobi Chamber Chorus). Time: 7.00 p.m. Entry free! |

Conservatoire End of Term Concert |

The Conservatoire's End of Term Concert is here yet again! Come watch the term's best students showcase their talent and hard work on Sunday 10th April, 2011 from 3pm at The GoDown Arts Centre (Dunga Road - off Lusaka Road). There will be classical and modern guitar, violin, jazz saxophone, modern and classical voice as well as choral singing. Also featured on the list of performers is The Conservatoire Orchestra. Some of the music includes: Hotel California (originally performed by The Eagles) - Glenn Frey, Can't Help Lovin Dat Man - Jerome Kern, Nella Fantasia - Ennio Morricone, and Beethoven's Spring Sonata for Violin and Piano (Op. 24 no. 5) - !st movement. Workshop to Create 2012 Musical |

The Kenya Conservatoire of Music invites all students, parents and friends of the Conservatoire to a workshop to come up with a framework for the 2012 musical. Ideas on the story line, style of music to use, the characters, and all other things required for the musical will be discussed.
The workshop is open to students and parents of The Conservatoire, as well as people who have participated in any Conservatoire Musical. Dates: Monday 11th - Wednesday 13th April Time: 9am to 1pm daily Come let us create the Musical ourselves! |

Nairobi Orchestra Concert |

Come watch Nairobi Orchestra in concert on Saturday, 9th April (7 pm) and Sunday, 10th April (3 pm) at the Braeburn Theatre, Gitanga Road, Lavington. The orchestra will be conducted by guest conductor Richard Dickins (of the Royal College of Music, London).
